Welcome to Art!
My name is Mrs. Kathy Sullivan and I teach art to grades 1-8 on Mondays and Thursdays. I have been teaching here at STA for 7 years.
Students will be creating many types of art using various mediums and techniques. Students will be learning art vocabulary and grade appropriate curriculum while striving to meet state expected benchmarks. They will also be introduced to many famous artists while working on projects which honor their work and techniques.
We save most of the students’ artwork in portfolios throughout the year. In the spring all students select two of their favorite pieces to be displayed in our annual art show during the “Evening of the Arts” usually held in early May.
This is a great time for parents to volunteer, it takes many hours to hang all that work!
